タイトル「The Let Out」とは、クラブの閉店後、客が一斉に店外（駐車場や路上）へ排出される時間帯を指すスラングである。酔った客同士のトラブル、異性関係のもつれ、そして以前からの因縁（Beef）が交錯し、銃撃事件が最も発生しやすい「魔の時間」として知られる。
成功者であるJ. Coleが、地元「The Ville（Fayetteville）」に対する愛と、そこで常に命を狙われる緊張感（パラノイア）との間で揺れ動く様子を、映画のような緊迫感で描いたストーリーテリング・トラックである。
