1993年の歴史的名盤『Doggystyle』に収録された本作は、アルバムの中でも特にファンキーで軽快なバウンス感を誇る一曲である。プロデュースを手掛けたのはDr. Dreではなく、当時Death Row Recordsの秘密兵器であった若き日のDaz Dillingerだ。Don Blackmanの1982年のジャズ・ファンク曲「Haboglabotribin'」をベースにしたグルーヴィーなビート上で、スヌープが自らのギャングスタとしてのアイデンティティをコミカルかつ痛快に宣言している。イントロの「将来の夢はハスラーになること」という小学生のスヌープのコントは、ゲットーにおける歪んだロールモデルの現実を皮肉交じりに描き出しており、ギャングスタ・ラップが持つブラックコメディとしての側面を色濃く反映している。
